Check out this huge B-24 Liberator scratch built and flown by Francesco “Checco” Zen.

The model took 4 years to build and has a wing span of 236 inches. Four ZG45 45cc 2-cycle engines provide power and it tips the scales at 180 pounds.

The B-24 Liberator nicknamed Witchcraft (serial number 42-52534, Q2-M) was flown by the 790th Bomb Squadron, 467th Bomb Group, and is famous for completing the most missions of any Second Air Division aircraft. With 130 missions under its belt without damage, it set a unique aviation record.

  1. Wow, I had an ultralight plane that weighed less than that behemoth and only 100 cc single engine.

  2. My dad flew B-24’s in WWII. He was based in England and flew 25 missions.
