While visiting AMA HQ recently I thought I would share this as a tribute to Hazel Sig-Hester. She was an amazing lady and left a legacy to our hobby and the people that knew or even met her.
Her 1/3-scale Skywalker hangs in the atrium for all visitors to the Headquarters building to enjoy and while there I took the opportunity to reflect on what she meant to the hobby of model aviation.

I first flew RC and joined AMA in 1984, (AMA membership No. 139693). And, I’m still at it. My first airplane was a Sig Kadet Mark II. fThe Kadet Mark II was my first build and trainer.
The Sig family provided me with thrills, laughter, tears and satisfaction over the past 40 years. What a Blessing the Sig family and the SIG Mfg. Co. has been to me.
