| Further Description/Back Story |
I acquired and started HyperBee from its kit, quite a while ago…but it languished in my ‘Someday’ pile until ‘Pandemic Time’ let me take it up again. Conceived and designed for .10-.12 glow power, it’s now converted to electric. With an A2212/6T 2200KV brushless outrunner motor and a 1-Amp-Hour battery, it weighs 22 ounces, or 11 ounces per square foot of wing area. It’s for hand-launch over a grass field; no landing gear except skids underneath. It’s very responsive and can be flown quite fast, like a racer, but slows way down for low passes and landings. Fun toy! |
