Yes, there are many ways of covering, but as long as you are comfortable in your process, then great. Picking up new techniques always helps. Thank you for taking the time to share

For overlaps at a straight edge you can also use a piece of balsa as a spacer to run a razor blade close to the edge of the piece you are covering. A sock over the iron helps to avoid making indentations in the balsa. Thoroughly cleaning (including wiping with a wet cloth) helps to remove annoying particles that you can otherwise only see when the covering material shows a bump. Tips abound!

SOLARTEX still Mfd in Britain .
When Films like SOLARFILM / MONOKOTE first Landed We were told then to ALWAYS keep the iron sole well away from the Film /fabric and put a sheet of Toilet Paper between sole and Film .

Have tried many tissues etc — the best being Costco Kirkland Kitchen Tissue as this disperses heat better also cutting down wrinkling and ALSO allowing the heat to be turned up without film mortality .
I also use the Old Iron depicted in article !!
Thks again
