HUD sunglasses!?!

HUD sunglasses!?!

Many aircraft have been using a HUD or Heads Up Display to show critical flight information on a see-through glass plate above the instrument panel for years. It allows a pilot to view real-time data without looking down into the cockpit.

Some scale modelers have recreated HUD displays in their RC models but now you can get true flight data via your telemetry system projected on to a pair of sunglasses! Flight information has been available to the FPV crowd for a while but since traditional Line-of-Sight RC doesn’t use goggles, real-time telemetry information without looking at the transmitter or using voice call outs which can be difficult to hear on a loud flight line, has thus far eluded us.  Check out the video to learn more!
